2733 posts · Joined 2021. #11 · May 29, 2021. I really like the trigger on the P365. Although I prefer a hammer-fired pistol, I have an appreciation for the striker-fired pistol. I find the P365 to be a smooth, clean breaking trigger with a nice reset. I particularly like the flat faced trigger on the XL.

At least for me the Kahr ergonomics are just a little off, while the 9mm P365 is very good. So I think a Sig .45 just enough larger than the P365 to accommodate the larger round would be pretty good. I don't put the P365 in that category. The pistol has evolved into a much larger platform, i.e., XMacro, but is still easily concealable. I think combining the best features of both in a P365-X is a winning combo. The issue was when I pull the trigger with a live round in the chamber it did not fire. Still own one XL and the X. They have become my EDC's, not both at the same time, and I am very pleased with them. With a MagGuts +2 spring kit, I get 15 rounds out of their 12-round mags with one in the pipe. The P365 is fully cocked when the slide is racked. The sear drops straight down into the chassis to release the striker. Pretty easy to see when your slide is off the gun. Glocks are partially cocked when racked. The trigger pull fully cocks and releases the striker. Check out this animation of the Glock action.

My carry P365 has 900 rds through it, and it's exact clone (I currently use for practice) has 2300 rds. I'm thinking I may shoot the practice clone until something fails - see how long that takes and what goes 1st. Then again, I may swap the 2, and make the clone primary carry, and the other my practice 365 for 2023 (haven;t decided yet).

For purposes of "most" users, a 147 gr load would be fine. I would however pay a bit more attention to replacing the RSA at the interval recomended by Sig, cleaning per factory recomendations, using a good-quality lube, and shooting with a firm grip. It is loaded very mild at only 1050 fps, whereas the winchester white box 115gr in 1125 fps, federal is 1180 fps, and the +P is 10% higher and the +P+ is 20% higher.
